PRIVACY NOTICE OF THE WOMEN’S HUMAN RIGHTS CENTER (CEDEHM)

The Center for Women’s Human Rights A.C. (hereinafter “CEDEHM” or “The Center”) is a non-profit civil association, domiciled at Av. Juárez No. 4107. Col. Centro Chihuahua, C.P. 31000, Chih., Chihuahua; in compliance with the provisions of the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data in Possession of Individuals and in order to publicize the processing that will be given to the personal and / or sensitive data of those who request their legal advice services, workshops, presence, and/or participate in forums, seminars, press conferences and/or any type of public event held on and off its premises, as well as those who request material and/or information about our work and those who support our work through online or personal donations, makes its privacy notice known.

For the purposes indicated in this privacy notice, we may collect your personal data when it is provided directly by you at or outside our facilities at different locations where our forums, workshops, seminars, conferences, or through telephone and/or electronic support are held. Likewise, you must provide some data when requesting material and/or information from the CEDEHM.

Purpose of the processing of personal data

The personal data that we collect directly (provided by you), are intended to identify each case or situation that is exposed to us, to know the scope and type of public that the Center has, as well as to be part of our databases to prepare financial reports, reports to funders and donor organizations, promotional material, workshops and dissemination (audiovisual or printed), generate segmented databases to send you our press releases, invitations to events, and updates of the Integral Information System in Human Rights.

For the purposes indicated in this privacy notice, we may collect your personal data in the following ways: when you provide it directly to us, through the initial interview format when requesting an advisor to or after a rapporteurship and/or file, or when you register with our offices when attending an event, by paying for a service provided by you, we may also collect your data when you make a donation.

“Personal data” means data relating to information concerning an identified or identifiable physical person, and sensitive personal data, data that affects the most intimate sphere of its owner, or whose misuse may give rise to discrimination or involve a serious risk. In view of this, the CEDEHM undertakes that they will be treated under the strictest security measures to ensure their confidentiality.

Therefore, by providing your personal data, such as:

These will be used solely and exclusively for the following purposes:

In order to have an internal information and service base of the association, update the database, inform the funders and donor organizations, gather information about the public attending our events and / or workshops, as well as for the payment of services provided to the CEDEHM. 

In the case of sensitive patients, such as:

  1. Financial Data (Income, Statements, Bank Account, and other related data)
  2. Property Data (Material Goods, Real Estate, and other related data)
  3. Personal Data (Spouse, Marital Status, Nationality, Education, Children, and other related).
  4. Family and non-family references (Name, Address, Phone, Relationship, etc.).
  5. Health status
  6. Religious belief
  7. Channeling to institutions
  8. Victim’s data
  9. Photographs
  10. Videos
  11.  In general, any other that serves as a reference for some strategy both legal and psychological.

These will be used solely and exclusively for the following purposes:

The purpose of collecting sensitive personal data of some persons is divided into two depending on the case in question: the first is to know the specific situation of those who request our legal services in order to guide and / or support them appropriately and based on all the information that is provided to us to develop well-defined psycho-legal strategies that derive from an in-depth knowledge of each situation. The second is for those who attend our educational processes, since this information allows us to develop reports, databases, and educational and dissemination material (printed, visual, audio, and audiovisual) to determine the impact of our work with communities and thereby generate spaces that are useful to them.

Transfer of personal data to third parties

The CEDEHM makes it known that it may transfer personal data to third parties for dissemination and statistical purposes. In this sense, your information may be shared with other human rights organizations only at the express request for the purpose of sharing our networking.

Likewise, the CEDEHM makes its knowledge constituted as a civil association, which as the basis of its financing presents projects to international donor organizations and/or financial organizations who ask for reports from time to time which may contain personal data which are used with the greatest possible caution and exclusively for this stated purpose.

It is about public events, for which media has been convened, or for which there is an instruction to transmit on Facebook Live or to provide broadcast on, through social networks, photographs and/or videos are posted on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, blog, on the CEDEHM website and the CEDEHM newsletter.

Private working meetings with institutions, agencies, civil society organizations, and/or beneficiaries, as well as workshops and psychosocial accompaniment sessions for beneficiaries or at risk, are photographed and archived, but not published on social media. However, these photographs may also be required for educational and dissemination material (printed, visual, audio and audiovisual) so an authorization letter format is used for the publication of such material.

Only these organizations and/or funders are provided with the personal information necessary for the purpose described above, requiring them to keep confidential during their treatment and refrain from misuse.

Procedure to exercise your right of Access, Rectification, Cancellation and Opposition (ARCO)

You have the right to access, rectify and cancel your personal data, limit its use or disclosure, as well as to object to the processing thereof or revoke the consent you have given us for such purposes at any time by writing to the e-mail address:  [email protected] or by providing a letter in the office of Av. Juárez No. 4107. Col. Centro Chihuahua, C.P. 31000, Chih., Chihuahua in care of the Personal Data Controller, who will respond to your request in a period of no more than 20 working days.

It is important that in your letter you leave us some contact details to respond to your request. You must cover justified shipping costs or the cost of reproduction in copies or other formats and, where applicable, the cost of certifying documents.

Changes to the Privacy Notice

We reserve the right to make changes or updates to this privacy notice at any time, for the attention of legislative developments, internal policies or new requirements for the provision of our services.

These modifications will be available publicly through our website www.cedehm.org.mx, by email, and/or in advertisements, or brochures visible on our premises, as well as in the places where we carry out activities that require the collection of personal data.

When providing your Personal Data to the CEDEHM, you were informed of the content of this Privacy Notice, so it is understood that the user has expressed his/her agreement with the provisions of it and has given his/her consent for the CEDEHM to use the aforementioned data in terms of this notice.

If you consider that your right of protection of personal data has been injured by any conduct of our employees or our actions or responses or you presume that in the processing of your personal data there is a violation of the provisions provided for in the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data in Possession of Individuals, you may file the corresponding complaint or denouncment with IFAI.
