Human rights defenders at risk

Around 2015, we started with the accompaniment of human rights defenders who, due to the exercise of their work, are victims of threats, assaults, acts of harassment, and smear campaigns, both by criminal groups and the Mexican State itself.

In the same year, we began to receive cases of indigenious communities in the Sierra Tarahumara that had been forced to move, forced to leave their lands, as a result of the context of insecurity and violence caused by the presence of members of organized crime.

Derived from the above, today and through the program of accompaniment to human rights defenders, we represent and give attention to other organizations or communities that are at risk and vulnerable for the exercise of their work, so that they can continue to carry out their work safely.

Want to help us?

Mexico is a country that suffers from a lack of social justice and in which there is still a long way to go to guarantee human rights for all people. Our work is medullary in the demand for truth, justice, and reparation. Continuing this cause is work that cannot cease and doing so requires solidarity and support.
