Protest by relatives of missing persons in the cities of Chihuahua, Cuauhtémoc and Hidalgo del Parral

Chihuahua, Chih., February 14, 2022. Today is celebrated in Mexico the day of love and friendship; on this date mothers and families of missing persons in Chihuahua decided to redefine this commemoration by demanding truth and justice, so they placed protest hearts in public places with photos of their sons and daughters, along with their own slogans. The events were held simultaneously in Cuauhtémoc, Parral and Chihuahua City.

The women, mainly mothers of missing men, expressed the urgent need to be attended by the authorities in order to clarify the cases, they pointed out the importance of the search while alive and the ineffectiveness of the searches carried out so far.

According to the National Registry of Disappeared and Missing Persons (RNPDNO), as of today, there are 3,463 missing persons in the state of Chihuahua.

Both the authorities and society in general have a pending debt with the missing persons, it is essential to pay attention to this problem, as well as to accompany those who seek and demand truth, justice and reparation.

The missing persons are missing for all of us.
